Emotional Support Officers

Part of the Marley difference is our focus on the emotional well being and mental health of our staff. We have multiple trained mental health first aiders, an employee assistance plan allowing staff to access phone based support and advice, and are flexible on staff needs around working environments and adaptations. Our Evesham based staff have free access to a gym very close to the office to support both their physical and mental health.

Oz and Kublai are fondly known as our Emotional Support Officers, and work part time with us from the Evesham office.

Oz:
Coming into the office is a great chance for me to encourage staff members to go out for a walk and take a break. I'm always available for a quiet stroke or to help someone take some time out in the break area. I'm a big fan of mindfulness and yoga, and particularly like to practice this on my bed in the sun.

Kublai:
I have anxiety and can find life quite worrying. This means I have a lot of empathy for those humans who feel the same way and like to provide support by way of a firm lean against their legs or a head in the lap. I'm not as extrovert as Oz, and I am prone to stress eating, but I'm told my quiet support is really appreciated.
